Archerfish
It compensates for light refraction when striking prey above the water surface.
The Biological Miracle: Archerfish can shoot a jet of water at insects above the surface. Their behavior accounts for how light bends at the water-air boundary, allowing the fish to target prey despite the apparent shift in position.
The Philosophical Mirror: What appears to be directly before us can be displaced by the medium through which we perceive it. Accurate action may require sensitivity to the conditions shaping an image.
The Human Takeaway: A disagreement may reflect different vantage points rather than bad faith. What conditions between me and another person could be bending what each of us believes we see?
