Draco Lizard
Extended ribs support skin membranes that allow controlled gliding between trees.
The Biological Miracle: Draco lizards extend elongated ribs to spread skin membranes called patagia, allowing them to glide from tree to tree. This movement is controlled descent, not powered flight, and it helps them navigate arboreal habitats.
The Philosophical Mirror: The lizard's body carries a possibility that is invisible until the right conditions call it forth. Capacity depends on both structure and the environment in which that structure can be used.
The Human Takeaway: A skill may remain hidden until a situation makes it useful. What capacity in myself or someone else might I fail to notice because the right conditions have not yet appeared?
